Stewart vs. Cramer

Last week, I posted “Who Supplies Your Investment Information,” in which Jon Stewart took a shot at CBNC’s quality (or lack thereof) of investment information. While you were probably enthralled with the current bear market rally, you may have missed the ultimate encounter between CNBC’s Jim Cramer and Jon Stewart.

I don’t watch CNBC, but seeing Cramer get dressed down on Stewart’s show with intellect and better arguments makes me wonder why anybody every would watch Cramer to begin with.

In case you missed it, you can view the encounter at this link:

I am feeling lighthearted today, so you may want to also view “The Buy and Hold Rhapsody” which, unfortunately, contains a lot of truth about what has happened to a lot of investors over the past 1-1/2 years. Enjoy:

  1. Ulli,

Thanks for the link to the Cramer interview as it was great and opens ones eyes to some of the things that are going on behind our backs and some of the worthless info. that is being passed on to the unsuspecting investor crowd. This stuff all seems to be for show only and is certainly in favor of the guests interests and not the little guy investor who takes everything at face value.

  2. Actually Cramer and shows like fast money provide lots of valuable insight. If you discount the fact that Jimbo has to come up with something to discuss every night, he provides a depth of research into particular stocks and sectors. In addition between his years at Goldman & his hedge days (that he never lets us forget) Jim's discourse and conveyance of the understanding of how the "Real Street" really operates can be of real value
